The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
Degree in accounting or finance.
At least seven years of related experience, ideally in the energy/renewable energy (solar preferred) construction/engineering sector.
Strong communication skills, and an ability to work with project support personnel, and various governmental regulatory, and commercial funding entities.
Knowledge of corporate finance principles would be a plus.
Responsibilities will include:
Candidate will be responsible for developing group accounting policy for derivatives matters including, but not limited to, hedging and valuation. This is a critical role within the team, providing US GAAP technical accounting guidance focusing on ASC 815, ASC 830, ASC 320, and ASC 820. Essential Responsibilities - Advising Businesses on derivative and hedging matters such as: determining whether certain instruments are within the scope of ASC 815, assisting with developing accounting compliant hedging strategies, reviewing and/or preparing hedge documentation, performing and/or reviewing effectiveness testing and evaluating contracts for embedded derivatives.
